Why are rubber roofs so much cheaper then a metal roof?

In the last 9 months, Southern Builders has removed over 15 Rubber Roofs and replaced them with our Perma Roof Steel Roofing. Rubber roofing is just a thin layer of rubber, usually installed over very little or no insulation. The rubber roofs we replaced did not stop leaks and caused further damage to the mobile home.

The one foot overhang is a tremendous advantage over rubber roofs which do not have overhang. Overhang is very important.
